Deputy Director of Human Resources
Mecklenburg County is seeking a Deputy Director of Human Resources. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Deputy Director is the second in command in the Human Resources (HR) Department working closely with the Director to lead the department. The Deputy Director will assist in planning, developing, and managing the HR function, HR strategies and initiatives to achieve the department’s strategic plans, and will collaborate with County leaders, internal customers, and the Board of County Commissioners. This position involves overseeing various divisions, managing critical projects, encouraging cross-team collaboration, and fostering a positive workplace culture to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization.
