Assistant Director of Human Resources
Mecklenburg County is seeking an Assistant Director of Human Resources. Reporting directly to the Director of Human Resources (Director), the Assistant Director will play a critical role in supporting the Director in the execution of human resource (HR) initiatives that align with the County’s goals. The Assistant Director works collaboratively with department leaders to foster a positive workplace culture, enhance employee engagement, and drive organizational effectiveness. The Assistant Director is directly responsible for supporting the following Centers of Excellence (COE’s) within HR: Business Office, HRMS, Compliance, and the Employee Service Center. The Assistant Director has three direct reports and leads a team of approximately 18 employees.
