Wirtgen Group Appoints Phillip Gruen as Director of Information Technology

The Wirtgen Group has appointed Phillip Gruen as Director of Information Technology, bringing more than two decades of IT leadership experience to the organization.

Founded in 1961 and now comprised of five world-class brands, Wirtgen Group continues to operate as an independent entity within Deere & Company while maintaining its legacy of engineering excellence, innovation, and customer partnership. Globally, the organization is a market leader in road construction, earthworks, and materials processing technologies.

In his new role, Phillip will oversee Wirtgen Group’s IT strategy, infrastructure, operations, and security, ensuring alignment with global standards while driving technology initiatives that support business growth and operational efficiency. He will lead the IT team in delivering secure, reliable, and scalable solutions across the organization.

Phillip joins Wirtgen Group with more than 24 years of experience in IT leadership, infrastructure management, security, and enterprise systems. He has held progressive roles guiding technology environments through periods of growth and transformation, building high-performing teams, and implementing innovative, customer-focused IT solutions.
