Adena Health System, an independent, not-for-profit healthcare organization serving south central and Southern Ohio for more than 125 years, has appointed Michael L. Matthews II as Vice President of Strategy and Market Intelligence.

In this role, Michael will lead Adena Health’s strategic planning and market analysis efforts, helping guide the organization’s growth, innovation, and overall positioning in the regional healthcare landscape. He will focus on identifying opportunities to enhance operational performance, support new initiatives, and deliver insights that advance Adena Health’s mission to serve communities with high-quality, patient-centered care.

Michael brings more than a decade of experience in healthcare strategy and business development. He joins Adena Health from Mercy Health, where he served as Director of Business Development and Strategy Consultant. Known for his ability to translate complex data into actionable insights, Michael has a proven track record of helping organizations make informed, forward-looking decisions. His leadership will be instrumental in guiding Adena Health’s continued growth and ensuring the organization remains a trusted healthcare partner for the 360,000 residents it serves across its network of hospitals, health centers, and primary and specialty care practices.
