Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughter Hires Renee Maccannon as Director, Managed Care Contracting

Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters (CHKD), Virginia’s only freestanding, full-service children’s hospital, has appointed Renee Maccannon as Director, Managed Care Contracting.

In this role, Renee will oversee CHKD’s managed care strategy, leading payer contract negotiations, supporting financial and operational analysis, and strengthening strategic partnerships with managed care organizations. She will work closely with leaders across the system to ensure contracts support CHKD’s mission, growth, and long-term sustainability.

Renee brings more than 25 years of managed care leadership experience across major healthcare organizations. She most recently served as Senior Director of Hospital Contracting at Orlando Health and previously held senior roles at the University of Miami Health System, including Executive Director of Managed Care Operations. Throughout her career, Renee has led complex payer negotiations, strengthened provider-payer partnerships, and driven meaningful operational and financial outcomes.

Renee holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from California State University – Stanislaus and a Master of Science in Business Administration and Management from Thomas Edison State University.

Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters Health System offers a network of comprehensive pediatric services in more than 40 locations that stretch from Williamsburg to Elizabeth City, North Carolina.
