Smart City Locating Appoints David Sweet as Chief Marketing Officer
Smart City Locating, a privately held, founder-led real estate services firm, has named David Sweet as Chief Marketing Officer. Headquartered in Austin, Texas, the company provides apartment locating and relocation support for renters across major U.S. metropolitan markets through a network of licensed local agents and a personalized, service-focused approach to leasing and moving.
In this role, Sweet will lead Smart City Locating’s end-to-end marketing strategy and execution, focusing on performance marketing, channel diversification, attribution and analytics infrastructure, and scalable systems to support continued geographic expansion. He will oversee efforts to strengthen marketing efficiency, modernize reporting and technology capabilities, and build the marketing engine needed to support the company’s next phase of growth. Sweet is a seasoned marketing executive with more than 15 years of experience leading growth, brand, and go-to-market strategies across SaaS, marketplace, and consumer-focused organizations. Throughout his career, he has helped companies scale marketing functions, enter new markets, strengthen customer acquisition efforts, and build high-performing teams. Before joining Smart City Locating, he held leadership roles at high-performing technology and marketplace startups, including Rev, Spruce, and Favor Delivery.
Following its first external investment in 2026, Smart City Locating is entering its next growth phase, with plans to expand into additional markets, increase marketing investment, and enhance its technology and CRM capabilities. The company remains differentiated by its relationship-driven, agent-centric model and its commitment to delivering a highly personalized experience for renters nationwide.
